CAMPING IN NH WHITE MOUNTAIN NATNL FOREST AREA?
i’m hunting for campsites in the albescent mtns area…i undergo of the ingrained campgrounds along the kancamangus line and line 302…but are there places to movement a shelter along a soil agency somewhere or meet slightly soured the agency likewise the domestic land campgrounds..i’m utilised to tenting in the adirondacks where there are hundreds of liberated vantage up sites or brief walks to sites but am having pain uncovering kindred sites in NH, some ideas??? thanks

Along Tripoli Road there are unestablished sites that are used mainly by hikers. You simply drive up to an empty site and claim it. During summer days a caretaker will vsit you eventually to collect a minimal fee ($15 week, $20 weekend)

As for in the wilderness, the main rule-of-thumb is a minimum of 200ft off the trail and you can set up camp, including 100ft below treeline. Each area is different though, so check with a ranger before departing.
There are some in the Evans Notch area near the wild river. Its in the Maine part of the national forest.
