I’m a REI member- although their gear might be more pricey, being a member gives you a ton of benefits, including a yearly dividend, extra discounts and “Garage Sales”- REI has a unconditional return policy, but obviously can’t return the product back to the shelf, so instead sells it at quarterly, member-only garage sale, at ridiculously low prices- for instance, I found a slightly used Osprey backpack (avg price $500) there for $60. Its great. Plus REI staff is helpful and experienced.
