WILDERNESS CAMPING IN NH IN OCTOBER?
Hi everyone. So myself and whatever disturbed friends poverty to go wild tenting in New Hampshire, albescent mountains location the prototypal weekend in October. Yes – we undergo it is feat to be algid and we are embattled for that also we are not feat to a kinsfolk campsite. We poverty to go wild tenting somewhere we hit to raise a knot or so in to intend to. Since it is feat to be algid I don’t poverty to go up the elevation where it module be modify colder. So does anyone undergo of whatever beatific symptom not to broad up where we could raise in to pretty easily maybe by a lake or whatever locate scenic? Also does anyone hit whatever tips for handling with the algid or are we meet nuts for considering this? Thank you, whatever advice appreciated…J

October should not be all that cold. You may even hit a heat wave, known to happen in new England in October. Just prepare yourselves by dressing in layers. Bring along chocolate to eat before bed (it will keep you warm) and be sure to bring enough food and fuel.
As for where to go… look on the Appalachian trail website. You will find information on all the trails in the various states including NH.
it wont be too cold at all– i’m actually going that same weekend to the top of maine–i think its one of the best times of the year to go camping..if you are this worried about the “cold” you should consider one of the white mtn national forest campgrounds –they are still rustic and primitive and you will be close to your car…
