Hi, we always use Salmon eggs when fishing for trout. And a small weight about 18-24″ above the hook. Good luck!

This place we were fishing is up Highway 32 above Chico, and it is Deer Creek. If you drive up Highway 32 about 30-40 minutes the road crosses the creek in several spots, and people usually fish there. I am not too sure about the regulations up there because I usually go with my friends and they know all that stuff. Good luck!
